National Love is Kind Day

Most national days are important. However, this national day is even more vital for others to be aware about.

Today's day is called "National Love is Kind Day", and it symbolises empowerment for victims of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is a soaring problem worldwide. Although in the United Kingdom, a whopping 3.8 million people suffered from domestic abuse, in the year closing March 2025. Additionally, 1 in 4 adults are believed to be victims of this vicious cycle. Days like this are essential for awareness, understanding and overcoming domestic violence.  

Today is the day for freedom. Today is a day for independence and liberty for survivors. Not only does this national day raise understanding of the issue, it emphasises possible early signs of domestic abuse. These range from signs of emotional and/or physical abuse. 

National Love is Kind Day, promotes healthy ways to show love. Methods like compassion, kindness and empathy, are stronger ways to embrace it. Whether you have been a victim of domestic abuse or know someone who may be experiencing it, help is available everywhere.
