Appeal after e-bike rider suffers potentially life-changing injuries in Cannock collision

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an e-bike rider suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a collision in Cannock.

Emergency services were called to Common Lane, at the junction with Old Hednesford Road, at around 5.40pm on Thursday (3 September), following reports of a collision involving a van and an e-bike.

Staffordshire Police attended the scene alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance.

The collision happened around the junction of Common Lane and Old Hednesford Road in Cannock.

The e-bike rider, a man, was taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be potentially life-changing. The driver of the van remained at the scene.

The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident and the vehicles were recovered.

Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage, to come forward.
