In James' own words ... 

I’m James Erskine – a broadcaster, brand strategist and lifelong media obsessive with a particular interest in how culture, technology, and storytelling collide.

I’ve spent most of my career working in youth culture, media and marketing, building and running creative businesses, producing podcasts and radio shows, and working with brands, charities and education organisations to help them understand audiences and tell better stories.

I first fell in love with radio because it sits perfectly between companionship and curiosity – it’s intimate, immediate, and still leaves space for imagination. I love radio that makes you think without shouting, that joins dots rather than chases headlines, and that invites listeners into the conversation rather than talking at them.

I have presented shows and features on other stations, but it is this show that lets me speak with the switched-on audience on topics I am really passionate about.

A few things about me:

• I’m fascinated by algorithms and how they quietly shape our world
