Alan Carr has been crowned the winner of The Celebrity Traitors after a gripping finale that left viewers stunned, securing the entire £87,500 prize pot for Neuroblastoma UK — a charity supporting children diagnosed with the rare and aggressive cancer.
The final episode, filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, brought weeks of deceit, secrecy and psychological gameplay to a dramatic close. Carr, who had been a Traitor from the very beginning, managed to hide his allegiance until the final vote, outmanoeuvring both the remaining Faithfuls and his fellow Traitor.
The final five contestants entered the closing stages with tensions running high. Cat Burns was the first to fall, banished after growing suspicion finally converged on her. Despite her efforts to shift the blame elsewhere, the remaining players were unconvinced, and she exited as the last eliminated Traitor before the endgame.
With Burns gone, the Faithfuls turned on one another. Joe Marler found himself next in the firing line. His confident attempts to steer discussions ultimately backfired, and a decisive vote saw him banished in fourth place. His exit left just three contestants standing — Carr, historian David Olusoga, and actor-comedian Nick Mohammed.
Believing they had successfully eradicated all Traitors, the trio agreed to end the game. In a tense and theatrical reveal, Carr calmly announced his true identity: he had been a Traitor all along. The revelation stunned Olusoga and Mohammed, who just moments earlier had been certain they were sharing victory with a fellow Faithful.
Carr’s win means the entire £87,500 charity prize will go to Neuroblastoma UK, an organisation of which he is a dedicated patron. The charity, which funds research into a cancer affecting around 100 children in the UK each year, praised the donation as a major boost to its ongoing work.
The finale also featured an intense end-of-series mission, where the remaining contestants boarded a steam train and raced against the clock to recover the final crates of gold that brought the prize pot to its full total. Their success proved bittersweet for the Faithfuls, who unknowingly secured the winnings for a Traitor still lurking amongst them.
Carr described the victory as “a privilege”, saying he was thrilled the show had given him the opportunity to highlight a charity that means so much to him. Meanwhile, viewers and critics alike have praised the series for its gripping storytelling and the surprising emotional impact of its charitable focus.
Emily Hood, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Neuroblastoma UK said; “We are absolutely delighted by Alan’s win on The Celebrity Traitors. As a small charity, this incredible £87,500 donation will make a meaningful and lasting difference to children affected by neuroblastoma and their families.
"We are so grateful for Alan’s support and proud of everything he has done to raise awareness of our cause.”
With its mix of celebrity chaos, strategic brilliance and heartfelt cause, The Celebrity Traitors has cemented itself as one of the year’s standout television moments — and for Neuroblastoma UK, the finale’s outcome could make a genuine and lasting difference.
