TikTok transforming artistic careers

Over 2 billion people use Tiktok worldwide, however how many are using it to pave their career? Tiktok is a hotspot for creativity, imagination and relatability, although it also encourages people to use their voice. Living in the world of many interests, finding a representation of yourself in the media, makes others feel seen. With the rise of social media, it has also allowed others to pursue their creativity, as a fulltime job. 

TikTok gives a platform to many artists. From: music, writing, painting and design, this allows others to see their interests pursued online. By watching others pursue their passion in art, this inspired upcoming artists to share their talent on Tiktok. This is helped by TikTok's algorithm, because our content is fueled by what we interact with the most.

Are guitarists growing online?

Thousands of guitarists are currently growing on Tiktok. With views and engagement, newer artists' music has the opportunity to grow and rise in the media. Tiktok is evident as a reliable platform to share talent and music. An example of a new artist is guitarist Anya from South-West England, who is sharing her talent online. Being inspired and influenced by other TikTok musicians, Anya decided to share her musical qualities on social media. Covering numerous songs from Deftones to Montell Fish, many are drawn to her versatile song choices she decides to play. After saving for her current beloved guitar, Anya continually practiced and persevered to achieve her ability today. 

Anya's initial inspiration into music was through wanting to learn a hobby. After this thought, she decided to pick up her guitar where her spark increased. Through time, her talent developed due to her love of music and ambition to post on TikTok. This helped from seeing other starting musicians online. When filming on TikTok, Anya feels like her song covers are ready when she feels confident. After a few takes, Anya feels like it is right when it has the right beats, rhythm and AMP settings. Alongside this her music interests are a core part of her hobby, because her love of music was a main drive to participate in entertainment. Out of her many inspirations, Lil Peep has been the most influential to her. She finds him very relatable and comfortable in life situations. Through Anya's multiple guitar covers, she hopes she can do the same thing and provide other musicians comfort. TikTok makes this dream a tangible reality.

Art has various forms in the modern age. It is versatile for everyone, where most individuals will be entertained from a variation of it. With the benefits of social media, art is shared arguably more than ever, with it being accessed on phones and electronic devices. From tunes to paintings, art has been around for centuries and will be remaining here for centuries to become. Anya is an example of a new age artist, inspiring others to present their interests online.
