Rocking the music charts for half a century, Joan Jett emerged in the early punk scenes, in the 1970s. Finally returning to the UK stage since 2007, her first headline show is located in Glasgow, Scotland. After nearly two decades of waiting, European Jettheads are finally gifted with a show nearby.

Where is the Blackheart's touring?

Generally touring across North America, their new tour has shocked many Jettheads globally. Joan Jett headlines Glasgow's stage at the O2 Academy, for an expected 2000 people on 2nd July 2026. However she is touring in more places in the UK! The Blackhearts are branching out to numerous places such as: Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and London, supporting the legendary Sammy Hagar.

What has Joan Jett done since her time away from the UK?

Departing the UK in 2007, Jett and her team have achieved and made many successes. Recently in 2023, the Blackhearts have released a new album named "Mindsets." Jettheads have raved over the recent album mainly over "Shooting Into Space" and "If You're Blue." Although the previous year (2022), they released an acoustic album. Called "Change Up" the Blackhearts decided to experiment with different music and released some iconic tracks, but sounding a little more different. Some notorious singles are "Bad Reputation", "Crimson and Clover" and "Cherry Bomb" and these are epitome of Joan Jett's aesthetic and personality.

Alongside this, Jett has been involved with two cinematic projects. In 2010 starring Kristen Stewart portraying Joan Jett, her first band "The Runaways" was made into a biopic. Featuring Dakota Fanning and Riley Keough (Elvis Presley's granddaughter) , the set of actors chose created a strong movie, showing the early life of the Runaways. 

Another cinematic project Jett has been a part of is in her 2018 documentary called "Bad Reputation." This transforming documentary showcased the early life of Joan Jett in early detail, to her undeniable success currently. It also shows the hard work she endured in the music industry and her triumph with creating her own record label "The Blackhearts."In the documentary it shows the vulnerable side of Jett, which is not always seen on stage. In the past being rejected by 23 record labels, she decided her own record label would give voices to small bands and act as a helping hand to friends. Currently the film holds a 79% rating, which highlights the positive success.

In 2015, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were inducted in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, by Miley Cyrus. Throughout four decades of hard work, her work was proudly and publicly praised. Numerous stars stood for Jett, like Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono. This positively overwhelmed Jett, as she cried during her speech. Cyrus constantly praised Jett through her career and has been a true inspiration to her.

Cyrus stated, "She made the world evolve."

Since the 70's Joan Jett has toured constantly. Lately touring with Billy Idol in 2025, most years are spent touring with the Blackhearts. From meeting Kenny Laguna in 1979, both have formed a strong friendship that has lasted over decades. This was the start of the Blackhearts and their revolutionary success. One of their first achievements was from the cover of "I Love Rock n Roll", which held first place in the music charts for 7 weeks in 1982.

Where else is Joan Jett touring?

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are touring several countries ranging from: Sweden, France and Belgium. They are also singing with other groundbreaking stars like: Sammy Hagar, Jayler, My Chemical Romance and the Foo Fighters!

The Blackhearts have paved their long-lasting career from their revolutionary and rebellious spirit. This is still projected decades later from their large fanbase, with Jettheads located all around the world. In 2026 their music is still thriving in the music industry. On Youtube, their most popular music video is "I Hate Myself For Loving You" with a total of 165 million views in the last 12 years! However with the recent loss of dedicated drummer, Thommy Price, his presence will be missed on stage.
