I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – Episode 2 Recap

The second episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! aired on Monday night and gave viewers their first real taste of jungle tension as the new cast settled into camp life.

The mood was lighter to begin with, but the reality of hunger, heat and limited comforts quickly set in as the celebrities faced their first full day.

Monday’s episode centred heavily on the build-up to the season’s first Bushtucker Trial, with campmates nervously speculating over who the public had voted for. After the reveal, it was Ruby Wax and Angry Ginge (Morgan Burtwistle) who were chosen to take on the challenge — an eating trial that instantly sparked nerves and plenty of laughter.

The duo arrived at the trial clearing to greet Ant and Dec, who wasted no time laying out the grisly menu. What followed was a chaotic, stomach-turning test of grit and humour as Ruby and Angry Ginge attempted to down a series of revolting jungle delicacies.

Ruby cracked jokes throughout to distract herself, while Angry Ginge powered through with a mix of determination and disbelief at what he’d signed up for. Despite a few moments of hesitation and plenty of grimacing, the pair pulled in a solid number of stars, securing dinners for camp and earning cheers the moment they returned.

A particularly poignant moment came when Jack Osbourne quietly broke down during a fireside chat about his father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away only a few months ago.

Jack admitted to feeling a deep, lingering shock despite knowing his dad had been unwell — describing his father’s final performance as “the ultimate mic drop.” He expressed how the jungle experience felt like “trauma-bonding”, a strange but meaningful space to confront grief in the company of strangers turned comrades.

In that moment, the camp became more than a survival scenario: it transformed into a support circle, with fellow campmates offering quiet words of comfort as Jack navigated his sorrow in real time.

At the close of the episode, Aitch was revealed as the celebrity selected by the public to face the next Bushtucker Trial — titled “The Jungle Doomsday Vault”.

I'm a Celebrity... Get me Outta Here! returns tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
