Team Leader (Weekdays) - Radio Team

Devote Radio is looking for a Weekday Team Leader to support and guide our weekday presenter team as we prepare for launch and beyond.

This role is perfect for someone who loves radio, enjoys supporting others, and wants to help shape a positive and creative broadcast environment. Working closely with the leadership team, the Weekday Team Leader will help ensure presenters feel supported, organised and confident on air.

As Devote Radio prepares for its launch on DAB+ across Walsall and surrounding areas, this role will play an important part in helping the weekday schedule run smoothly while maintaining the energetic and welcoming culture we’re building.

Who This Role Is For!

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about radio and enjoys helping others succeed. You might already have experience presenting, producing or working in radio, or you might simply be someone who enjoys organisation and teamwork.

You’ll be someone who is approachable, organised and enthusiastic about helping build something new. Most importantly, you’ll care about the people behind the microphone and want to help create a supportive environment where everyone can do their best work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for weekday presenters
  • Supporting presenters with show preparation, ideas and general guidance
  • Helping ensure shows are delivered consistently and on time
  • Keeping an eye on the weekday schedule and covering gaps where needed
  • Helping new presenters settle into the station and feel confident
  • Communicating updates or feedback between presenters and the leadership team
  • Encouraging a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture

This is a flexible volunteer role designed to fit around work, study or other commitments.

Most support will take place remotely through messaging and occasional check-ins with presenters and the leadership team.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Passion for radio and broadcasting
  • Friendly, approachable personality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisation and reliability
  • Ability to support and motivate others
  • Previous radio or media experience is helpful but not essential

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so even if you’ve never used Aiir Scheduler or Playout ONE before, you’ll be guided step-by-step until you’re confident in the role.
